Yesterday, Ben and I did a 400 mile round trip to collect his (newly fixed) horsebox and his mare. We took the train up to Yorkshire to get the box, and then drove to my parent's place in Cambridgeshire which is where Iris has been living for the past week. The internet's current MO seems to be that it works fine for 10 minutes, then dies for an indeterminate time before reviving again for a further 10 minutes. Apparently PlusNet will have it fixed for us by Tuesday ... awesome. -_ ( Read more... )

The show went well, despite an unbelievably crazy thunderstorm on Saturday! We'd seen the clouds approaching and the sky getting darker all morning, and about an hour or so before we were due to go back in the ring for our second demo the skies opened and dumped everything they had on us. I'm back in Cambridgeshire for the weekend, as I'm working with the Shires tomorrow (riding display in Staffordshire) and it's my grandad's 92nd birthday on Sunday.

Tomorrow I'm off to the East of England showground, where I will remain until Sunday when glenatron will venture east and kidnap me. Haaa. I have no idea why I volunteered to sleep over because, from past experience, OH MY VARIOUS GODS IT IS COLD I MIGHT DIE OF ACTUAL EXPOSURE. Or something like that. The vet came out today for Beatrice, but she gave Pepsi a once over while she was there. She couldn't believe it when mum said Peps was 28; the vet had thought she was in her early teens! <3

So yeh, that was my happy for the day. :)
